Obituary for Harvey S. Zimmerman

Services:
The funeral will be held at the Stauffer Mennonite Church in Loveville on November 7 at 9:30AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation:
Viewing and visitation will be in the family home, Nov. 6, 2:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM.
Harvey S. Zimmerman, 87, of Loveville, MD died November 4, 2008 at his home. He was born in Lancaster Co., PA December 11, 1920 to parents, the late David and Amelia S. Zimmerman. He is survived by his wife Mary Brubaker, whom he married on December 29, 1943. He was the owner of the saw mill in Loveville for many years, had a woodworking shop and enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was a member of the Stauffer Mennonite Church. He is survived by nine children: Lorraine, wife of Milton Haldaman, Ephrata, PA, Kenneth, married to Nancy, Mechanicsville, MD, Dorothy Martin (Paul), Memphis, MO, Barbara, wife of Raymond Good, Port Trevorton, PA, Harvey Jr., married to Thelma, Leonardtown, MD, Glenn married to Crystal, Elkhorn, KY, Joseph, married to Heidi, Leonardtown, MD, Judy, wife of Clyde Brubacker, Port Trevorton, PA, Sandra, wife of Randal Sloan, Leonardtown, MD as well as 63 grandchildren and 80 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Phares, David, Paul, Monroe, John, Mose and Norman; five sisters, Mary Martin, Barbara Stauffer, Civilla Wenger, Mabel Zimmerman and Jennie Zimmerman. The funeral will be held at the Stauffer Mennonite Church in Loveville on November 7 at 9:30AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be in the family home, Nov. 6, 2:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael Haldaman, Brian Good, Shawn Martin, Roger Zimmerman, David Brubaker and Ryan Sloan.
