David Melchior Norris
David M. Norris of Callaway, MD passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 19, 2017, surround by his loving family. David was a county native born on December 15, 1964. He is survived by his parents Charles and Agnes Norris; Siblings; Paul Norris, Francis Norris, Brenda Wren and Terrie Balsbaugh, in-laws Pat Balsbaugh, Samuel Wren and Suzanne Norris, many nieces and nephews, best friends Tony Evans and Randy Tiger.
David was usually the center of attention. He loved to make people laugh and could tell you a joke or story a mile high. He loved to be with his friends. You either loved him or hated him, but if asked, he would give you the shirt off his back. Always a crowd pleaser, David would take you up on any bet or dare even if it meant taking a swim off of the St. George’s Bridge. He loved to be on the water having a few laughs and yes a few drinks too. David had a big heart especially for animals. He was always bringing home some kind of abandoned animals. He was a big help to his parents late in life with hot meals, caring for the animals or going out on lock jobs with his father. David will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Paul Nguyen officiating. Interment will be private.
