Aaron Bradley Sims
Aaron Bradley Sims, 33, of Bushwood, MD formerly from Suffolk, VA passed away on November 16, 2017 in the Netherlands. Born on September 12, 1984 in Bellvue, WA, he was the son of Rebecca Sims of Bushwood, MD and Wiley C. Sims of McKinney, TX. Aaron is survived by his children; Jaden Sims of Fort Collins, CO, Dominic Sims of Fort Collins, CO and Caleb Sims of Austin, TX. Siblings; Kelly S. Sims of Austin, TX, Wiley P. Sims of Plano, TX, David Sims of Wylie, TX, and Niki Harper of Lewisville, TX. He graduated from Lakeland High School in 2002. Aaron joined the United States Army on August 25, 2002. While serving in the Army, he earned the Army commendation Medal with V. Device, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd. Award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal Iraq, AH-64A Armament, Campaign Medal W/ Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd, Award), and Basic Aviation Badge. He was honorably discharged on August 25, 2008. Aaron worked for F N America in the Airborne, Land and Maritime Systems.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. Where a Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM with Bishop William McClean officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery Arlington, VA.
