  A Mass of Christian Burial will Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at 10:00 AM in the St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 16922 St. Peter Claver Road, St. Inigoes, MD 20684. Interment will follow in the church cemetery

  David Sylvester "Jumbo" Young, 53, of Great Mills, MD died August 20, 2005 in Leonardtown, MD. Born July 13, 1952 in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Josephine Young Ball. He is survived by his children, Khadijah Young and April Young both of Great Mills, MD and Clarice Shade and James Shade of Lexington Park, MD and 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John Michael and Patricia Young of Petersburg, VA and his special friend, Osie Brooks Shade of Great Mills, MD. Mr. Young was a life-long St. Mary's County resident and attended St. Mary's County Public Schools. He was employed as a brick mason. The family received friends and a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on August 24, 2005 in St. Peter Claver Church with Father Damien Shadwell officiating and Reverend Rudy C. Brooks co-officiating. Interment followed in St. Peter Claver Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Young were George Milburn, Victor Briscoe, Reginald Sean Allen, James M. Butler, Sr., James Theodore Fenwick and James Matthew Allen. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Brooks, Tyrone Allen, Kevin Green and Colbert Barnes.
