"Dear Elli: We were so blessed when Keith & Shannon joined in marriage. We joined your family and your family joined our family to become an even larger family. Almost immediately in time Elli, you and Dick changed from being liked to being loved very much. There will be a very large void in our hearts when our families gather for all our fun occasions. You always created a little bit of happiness with your presence. Your granddaughters have suffered a great loss. Their "Granny" was the light of their lives. They are going to miss out on so much in the future from what you could have shared with them and you to hear about their experiences as they grew up. It seemed no matter who you met your warmth and kindness touched their lives being a nurse, a wife, a mother, a "granny", or a friend.
We love you Elli." - Bernie & Dolores Patterson - Posted: Tuesday, November 4, 2008

It was indeed a great privilege to have been considered your " friend". I will miss you and your cheerful laugh and kindness. Truley, this world was a better place having you in it. God Bless and keep on smiling.

"Oh my Elli...I'm so sorry I never got back to Maryland to be with you once more. I know you didn't like funerals but there you are up on the hill with your parents. All the many stories you would tell me and I would always say at the end "I don't believe you!" and then we would laugh...we would laugh so much during the long night when it was our watch over 2 North. I know you are smiling down on us. Ask the big guy up there to let you rock the babies like you always wanted to do. Love you." - Gloria McCarthy - Posted: Thursday, October 16, 2008

"My heartfelt sympathy to the whole family in this time of sorrow. I worked many years at Civista with Elli. She was a wonderful human being and a superb caring nurse. She had the most wonderful sense of humor which we all needed during the difficult times which included the strike. Your loss is certainly heavens gain for I know she is there spreading good will all round. Rest in peace dear friend. Love Barbara Wetzel." - Barbara Wetzel - Posted: Sunday, October 12, 2008

"Dear, dear Elli===I loved you like a sister, and I shall miss you so, so much. I am truly grateful for all the wonderful times we were able to share, but I regret that you never got to come to Oklahoma. You were the greatest friend with the most wonderful heart for people that I ever met. I love you.
