Services:

  A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon George L'Heuruex officiating. Interment will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Leonardtown, MD.

Visitation:

  Viewing/Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM.
 

Leo Reinhard ”Nanas” Tuniman, 84, of Alexandria, VA and formerly of Leonardtown, MD died January 1, 2008 in Alexandria, VA. Born November 15, 1923 in Leonardtown, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Reindert and Agnes Clements Tuinman. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Minner Tuniman. He is survived by his step-children Kevin McMichael of Oklahoma City, OK and Crystal David of Las Vegas, NV as well as six step-grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew.  He was preceded in death by his siblings Philip Tuniman, Rosemary Tuinman and Sally Tuinman McAllister.  He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy and served in the United States Army in the Pacific.  He was an avid fisherman and loved to garden, play the lottery and read.  The family will receive friends in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 5 PM – 8 PM with prayers being said at 7:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Deacon George L’Heuruex officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Leonardtown, MD.
