A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Hollywood Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Bayse Harry Reedy, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Katie Elizabeth "Katy-did" Greer Reedy, 86 of Hollywood, MD and formerly of White Top, VA died March 6, 2006 in Hollywood, MD. Born March 9, 1919 in Pocahontas, WV she was the daughter of the late William Alexander and Hester P. Greer. She was the loving wife of Bayse Harry Reedy, Sr, whom she married August 26, 1940 in Abington, VA. She was the devoted mother of Dr. Bayse "Bud" Reedy of York, PA and Patsy Elizabeth Ervin of Hollywood, MD. She is also survived by her brothers Russ Greer of Lenore, NC and Ezra Greer of Abington, VA 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Stella Price and her brother Aaron Greer. She was a graduate of Oakhill Academy, Mouth of Wilson, VA Class of 1940. She moved to St. Mary's County in 1945 from Arlington, VA. She was a payroll clerk at Patuxent River for 29 years until her retirement on April 14, 1979. She was a member of the Hollywood Church of the Nazarene and founder of the Hollywood Church of the Nazarene Bus Ministry and a Sunday school teacher for several years; she was also a hospital and nursing home visitor. The family would like to thank Hospice of St. Mary's for being there for them in their time of need. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 11, 2006 from 10:00 â?? 11:00 AM in Hollywood Church of the Nazarene, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Bayse "Bud" Reedy, Jr. of Still Meadow Church of Nazarene, York, PA officiating and Rev. Joseph Hoopengardner of Lexington Park Methodist Church, Rev. David Sparks of Hollywood Church of the Nazarene and Rev. Andrew Ervin of New Holland Church of Nazarene co-officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Greer, Greg Reedy, Eddie Greer, Carlos Tavares, Bill Ervin and Andy Ervin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Ervin and Ricky Greer.
