Joseph John Moraski, Jr.
Joseph “Joe” John Moraski, Jr., 72 of Chaptico, MD, formerly from Alexandria, VA passed away on May 17, 2017 in Chaptico, MD. Born on February 2, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of Lillian May Moraski of Alexandria, VA and the late Joseph J. Moraski, Sr. Joe was the loving husband of Elizabeth Louise Wynfield whom he married in Leonardtown, MD.
Joe is survived by his step-children: Steve Wynfield of Corpus Christi, TX, Chris Wynfield of Vienna, VA and 6 Grandchildren. Siblings: Richard Moraski of Portsmouth, VA and Joan Renner of Alexandria, VA.
Joe graduated from Francis C. Hammond High School, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1/27/1966 to 8/3/1970 and moved from Virginia to St. Mary’s County,. MD in the 70’s.
Joe worked for NAV AIR with the Electronics Warfare Division for over 22 years retiring on January 27, 2003. Joe was a lifetime member of Mensa International, he also enjoyed amateur radio, electronics and antennas. As well as; sailing, metal work, racing cars, reading, hunting and fishing.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 10:00AM to 12:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. Interment will be private.
