Obituary for Kathryn Bernadette Allen
Kathryn Bernadette (Clark) Allen, 69, of Leonardtown, MD, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday July 17, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.
Kathy was born in Leonardtown, MD on March 9, 1950 to the late Beech Beshore Clark and Ferne Mae (Brown) Clark. Kathy graduated from Chopticon High School in 1969. After high school she moved to Oakland, CA where she took cosmetology classes.
Kathy married her soul mate, Raymond A. Allen on October 29, 1971 while he was in the Marine Corp. stationed at NAS Pax River, Lexington Park, MD. During their time in the military (Marines - 4 years, Army - 6 years, Army Reserves - 1 year) they lived in various places such as Quantico, VA, Wildflecken, Germany and Fort Riley Kansas. After military life the two settled in King George, VA. Wanting to live closer to family, in 1987, the couple bought their current home in Leonardtown, MD. Kathy loved to bake, sew, craft with her grandchildren, and anything Christmas…. especially shopping with her sisters on “Sister’s Day”.
Survived by her much loved family, she was blessed with 3 children Renee Lynn Hayden (Jody) of Leonardtown, MD, Jessica Nicole Wallace (Joey) of St. Clements Shores, MD, and Danyel Allen Baile (Ken) of Leonardtown, MD. She is also survived by 7 siblings James D. Clark of Fremont, CA, Ruth E. Taylor of Damascus, MD, Richard B. Clark of King George, VA, Helen S. Clark of Bellevue, WA, Arthur E. Clark of Compton, MD, Mildred C. Bazarah (Punky) of Compton, MD, and Robin M. Webb of King George, VA. Kathy was also the proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren Nace Hayden, Matthew Hayden, Mason Hayden, Tylur Allen-Combs, Samantha Wallace, Sierra Wallace, Meara McAllister, Max McAllister, Abby McAllister, Emmy Baile and Katherine Baile.
All Funeral Services will be private.
