Charles David "Lucky" Stone
Charles David “Lucky” Stone,60, of Hollywood, MD passed away surrounded by family and friends on April 28, 2020 at his home in Lusby, MD, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on September 19, 1959 in Leonardtown, MD, and was the loving son of the late John and Faye Stone, of Hollywood, MD.
Lucky Stone graduated from Great Mills High School in 1978 and spent the majority of his years residing on Lucky Lane in Hollywood, MD, prior to moving to Lusby. He spent over twenty years working as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Chesapeake Ranch Estates.
Lucky is survived by his children: Heather Hamilton (Kurt), of Mechanicsville, MD and Jonathan “Bucky” Stone (Jennifer), of Mechanicsville, MD, as well as four grandchildren: Miley Stone, Claire Hamilton, Mason Stone, and Clayton Hamilton, his loving sisters, Bonnie (“Buzzy”) Higgs, Carol Woodburn and his beloved dogs, Angus and Winston. Lucky will also be forever remembered by his extended family and dear friends.
Lucky loved going to work as a Heavy Equipment Operator and enjoyed seeing his extended family (co-workers) daily. He was easy-going, funny, and never met a stranger. He loved working on cars and spending time with his family and friends. Most nights, you could find Lucky relaxing on his back porch listening to music chilling with his dogs. He was charismatic and would draw you in with his quick wit and warm nature.
Lucky was a genuine friend to all and is admired by many. He will forever be loved and truly missed.
Pallbearers will be: Heather and Kurt Hamilton, Jennifer and Jonathan Stone. Officiating the funeral will be Lucky’s best friend, Curtis Scayles.
All Funeral Services will be private at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
