Obituary for Ruth Agnew Welty Kluth
Ruth Agnew Welty Kluth, 94 of Bowie, MD formerly of Washington, DC passed away on October 3, 2020 in Prince Frederick, MD. Born February 23, 1926 in Franklin, NY, she was the daughter of the late Florence Miller Welty and Leonard Agnew Welty.
Ruth was the loving wife of the late Paul Leo Kluth whom she married on October 7, 1950 in Washington, DC. She is survived by her children: Paul N. Kluth of Taneytown, MD, David R. Kluth, Frederick, MD and Ruthann K. (Terrence)O’Connell of Tall Timbers, MD, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings: June Settlemyer, James Welty, Janet Eadie and Charlotte Abbott.
Ruth graduated from Calvin Coolidge High School in 1944, she was an executive Secretary for the Department of the Interior retiring April 30, 1994 after 31 years of service.
