Theresa Fanny Knight,97, of Loveville, MD formerly from the Seventh District, passed away on December 12, 2020 at her home. She was born on February 4, 1923 in Hollywood, MD and was the loving daughter of the late Violet Lathroum and Leo Lathroum. Teresa was the loving wife of George Knight, whom she married on November 5, 1966 in Lanham, MD. Teresa is survived by 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Along with her siblings Mary Kelly of St. Clements Shores, and Jimmy Lathroum of Seventh Dist. She is preceded in death by her son Archie Higgs. Siblings Estelle Farrell, Agnes Dillcard, Margaret Quade, Helen Eckerd, Catherine Burke, Lillian Anderson, Beanie Lathroum, and Wallace Lathroum.

She was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD resident, and homemaker.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Drew Royals officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be David Farrell, Paul Knight, Mike Knight, Ralph Heard and her grandsons Bobby Higgs, and Bert Higgs.
