A wonderfully welcoming, warmhearted, and dear Christian lady who raised a large family along with my dear friend Dan Sr. who I first met in the early 1960s. I will be forever grateful for the support and friendship Dan and Nina extended to me some thirteen years ago when my wife dear passed away. Dan and Nina had an extraordinary old-fashioned love affair that you could write a book about. It was totally fascinating to hear the many stories they told me about growing up in the District of Columbia and the courtship they shared as youngsters. Nina, as you know, was never quite the same after her Dan passed away. She surely loved her children, her grandchildren, and great children, but dearly missed her beloved Dan. I kind of think she might now be saying “I’ve lived a full life – lift up your hearts for I’m reunited with my beloved Dan and resting comfortably in the arms of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” My heartfelt condolences to the extended Fitzpatrick family. I feel your pain.
