Beverly Rose Elkins
Beverly Rose Elkins,80, of Leonardtown, MD formerly from La Plata, MD passed away on March 29, 2021 in Leonardtown, MD. She was born on October 27, 1940 in Elizabeth, NJ and was the loving daughter of the late Gladys Vondran and Joseph Vondran. Beverly was the loving wife of William C. Elkins whom she married on July 3, 1960 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church South Plainfield, NJ. She is Survived by her children Pauline Norris (Ricky) of Leonardtown, MD, Laura Beth Wetmore of Newington, CT, and 3 grandchildren Colleen Westmore of East Hampton, CT, Mallory Norris of St. Mary’s City, MD, and Stephen Norris of Leonardtown, MD. Along with her siblings Sharyn Suaree (Ray) of Jupiter, FL, Louise Vondran (Bob) of New Bern, NC, Irene McCamley (Pat) of New Bern, NC, Stephanie Ciak of South Plainville, NJ, and Ellen Gentle(Bobbie) of South Plainville, NJ. She was preceded in death by her brother Jay Vondran.
Beverly graduated from St. Peters High School in New Brunswick, NJ in 1958. She moved from La Plata, MD to St. Mary’s County, MD in May, 2018. She was a homemaker. Beverly loved to travel and spend time with family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. Where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Paul Bielewicz officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Norris, Ian McDonald, Ricky Chesser, David Cullison, Damian Hall and Mark Hanson.
