Condolence: I was Mike’s high school teacher. I can still recall him running to class while trying not to drop his violin case and books. He was 15 years old and a truly brilliant student. I am so very proud of the man he became—-an absolutely wonderful human being. May his soul soar into Heaven and rest with God eternally.

Condolence: I am so terribly sad to read of his passing today that I literally cried for him and Shawn!!! I joined the rescue squad many years ago in 2009 and Mike and Shawn were the absolute best!! I was so shy. Mike went out his way constantly to make sure I had everything I needed for my EMT classes, made sure to teach me on the spot everything he could! I looked up to him so much!! He inspired me to want to learn everything that I could! He was always very professional with the community but such an amazing person once you got to know him!! I will never forget his smile or laughter it lit up the room!! Serving at the rescue squad is one of the fondest memories I have of my life and he helped make it that!!!
