Mattingley Funeral Home in Leonardtown and served as owner and funeral director for 42 years. The funeral home remained in the Mattingley family until 1988, when Michael Kevin Gardiner, Sr. purchased it and renamed it Mattingley-Gardiner. It is owned today by John and Kristy Parker and is veteran, family-owned and locally operated. The funeral home is located at 41590 Fenwick Street in Leonardtown, one block from Leonardtown Square, and contains three chapels. On-site parking is available. A funeral director answers the phone 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home is a member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, the National Funeral Directors Association, the Maryland State Funeral Directors Association, and the Cremation Association of North America.
