Angela Stead

Angela Stead, 73, of California, MD formerly from Homosassa, FL, and Bowie, MD, passed away on October 24, 2014 in Callaway, MD. Born on April 19, 1941 in Pittston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Angela Stanko and John Stanko. Angela is survived by her children; William Stead of Brooksville, FL, Cindy Stead of Leonardtown, MD, Brian Stead of Laurel, MD 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and brother John Stanko of Jacksonville, FL. Angela graduated from West Pittston High School, and moved from Homsassa, FL to St. Mary’s County, MD in September, 2012. She worked as an Administrative Secretary for Prince George’s County Public Schools, and after 24 years retired in 2003. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church Leonardtown, MD with Father Brian Beaubien officiating. Interment will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Trinity Episcopal Cemetery St. Mary’s City, MD Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary’s P.O.
