Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Father John Dakes officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM Marilyn Mae Potter, 83, of Lexington Park, MD died February 20, 2006 in Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD. Born September 24, 1922 in Denver, CO she was the daughter of the late Donald A. and Goldie Lee Loy Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband William Calvin Potter, Sr. on July 11, 1996 whom she married on May 27, 1944 in Holy Face Catholic Church, Great Mills, MD. She is survived by her children: Diana M. Francis of Springfield, VA, Sharon L. Gardiner and William C. Potter, Jr. both of Mechanicsville, MD, Brenda M. Springer of Chesapeake, VA, Elizabeth S. Brady of White Plains, MD and Mark S. Potter of La Plata, MD; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Mrs. Potter graduated from Glen Burnie High School Class of 1941. She worked as a telephone operator for C&P Telephone, La Plata, MD. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM.
