Services: A Funeral Service will be held in All Faith Episcopal Church, Mechanicsville, MD on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Harry Harper officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: Public visitation will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 from 5 - 8 PM with prayers being said at 7:00 PM. Willard Jay "Boomer" Beach, 63, of Colton's Point, MD and formerly of Charles County, MD died June 14, 2007 in St. Mary's Hospital. Born November 9, 1943 in Lenior, NC he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Zenobie O. Williams Beach. He was the loving husband of Hilda Fay Beach whom he married in Charles County, MD on December 6, 1965. He is survived by his children Linda L. Pope of Hendersonville, NC, Thomas Jeff Beach and Debbie S. Keenan both of Colton's Point, MD. He is also survived by his siblings Thomas Alvin Beach, Sr of Hollywood, MD, DeeDee Dickerson and Bruce Woods both of Calvert County, MD, Herbie Beach of FL, Brenda Baker of Shelby, NE, Allen Beach, Darlene and Jeannie, and 2 granddaughters Emma Lynn Pope and Alyssa Dawn Keenan as well as many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sister Naomie Pingleton and his brother Clarence Beach. Mr. Beach attended LaPlata High School and moved to St. Mary's County in 1980 from Charles County. He was employed for 20 years as a heavy equipment operator for the Driggs Corporation, retiring in 1995. He loved camping and spoiling his two granddaughters. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 from 5 â?? 8 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM.
