A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 24, 2006 at 11:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Father John Dakes officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens.
Visitation:
Viewing/Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2006 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 5:30 PM.
Mary Louise Morgan, 85 of Leonardtown, MD formerly of Helen, MD died March 20, 2006 in St. Mary's Nursing Center. Born January 31, 1921 in Bushwood, MD she was the daughter of the late William Ernest and Rosetta Pilkerton Wathen. She was preceded in death by her husband James Daniel Morgan whom she married on May 16, 1938 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She is survived by her children: James Hayden Morgan of Leonardtown, MD, Barbara A. Lewis of La Plata, MD, Ralph D. Morgan of Hollywood, MD, Raymond L. Morgan of Waldorf, MD, Brenda L. Carlee of Jacksonville, FL and Irma Morgan of Pratts, VA; sister: Mabel Hill of Mechanicsville, MD; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: James Wathen, Albert Wathen, Henry Wathen, Hayden Wathen, Woodrow Wathen, Josephine Hutchinson and Violet Whipty. Ms. Morgan was a life long St. Mary's County resident where she graduated from Margaret Brent High School Class of 1938. She loved NASCAR especially Dale Earnhardt and later Earnhardt, Jr. or as she called him "Little E". The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23, 2006 from 4:00 â?? 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 5:30 PM. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tracy Collins, Shelba Hill, Wanda Brash, Michelle Buckelew and Amanda Morgan. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary's, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
