Services: Funeral Service at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 7, 2004 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment following in Charles Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Wednesday, October 6, 2004 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Barbara Jane Tilton, 52, of Lexington Park, MD died on October 2, 2004 in Leonardtown, MD. Born August 10, 1952 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of Nora Jane Oxsheare Buckler and the late Phillip Thomas Buckler. She was the wife of James Edward Tilton whom she married on January 18, 1974 in Baltimore, MD. She was also the loving mother of Yvonne Ashley Knowles of Clovis, NM and Michael Paul Tilton of Lexington Park, MD. Mrs. Tilton is also survived by a brother, Warren Buckler, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a sister, Susan Gravatt of Baltimore, MD. She was a graduate of Brooklyn Park High School in Baltimore, Class of 1970. She relocated to St. Mary's County in April, 1977 from Baltimore. Mrs. Tilton worked as a Bartender for the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #7 in Lexington Park, MD. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 6, 2004 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, October 7, 2004 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Randy Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens.
