Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 9 at 10:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church with Msgr. John Brady officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation: Public Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 5 - 8 PM with prayers being said at 7 PM. Annie Elizabeth Hill, 87, of Avenue, MD died March 5, 2005 in St. Mary's Nursing Center. Born May 15, 1917 in Palmers, MD, she was the daughter of the late Julia Ann Russell and William MacDonald Bryant. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Otto Hill on December 31, 1996 in Leonardtown, MD. She is survived by her nephew: Joseph L. Bryant, Jr.; great nephew: Kevin Bryant; great nieces: Kim Wursta and Kelly Bryant; great-great nieces: Caitlin Wursta and Kayla Bryant and sister in-law Louise Bryant. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: John Francis Bryant, William MacDonald Bryant and Joseph Lawrence Bryant. Ms. Hill was a life long St. Mary's County resident. The family received friends on Tuesday, March 8 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, March 9 in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD, with Msgr. John Brady officiating. Interment followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Bowles, Scott Wursta, Joseph L. Bryant, Jr., Robert Lacey, Dan Wilson and Buddy Thompson. Honorary Pallbearer was Clem Cheseldine.
