Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD with Fr. John Dakes officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen, MD. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 6:30 PM. June "Nana" Marie Nestlebush, 81, of Mechanicsville, MD formerly of Omaha, NE and Little Rock, AK died August 26, 2006 in Mechanicsville, MD. Born April 26, 1925 in Omaha, NE she was the daughter of the late Little George Roberts and Nell Lucille Dugan. She was the loving wife to the late Robert Phillip Nestlebush whom she married July 19, 1947 in Omaha, NE. She is survived by her children Jayne Rivers of MD, Robert Nestlebush, Jr. of AZ, Charles Nestlebush of CA, Mary Therese Pierce of VA, and Angela Roberts of MD. She is also survived by his sister Joyce Coolidge of AZ and fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children Mary Christine Blythe and Joseph Nestlebush. She attended Mercy High School and St. Catherine's Hospital School of Nursing Creighton University. She moved from Omaha, NE to St. Mary's County in 1978 where she worked as a Registered Nurse for forty nine years the Veteran's Hospital in various places in Washington, D.C., Nebraska, and Arkansas. She was a member of the Society of Carmelite Nuns, Alumni of Mercy High School, Member of the Bureau of Education and Registration of Nurses. She was also active in the Curillo in Memphis, TN and the Washington, D.C. area. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 29, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with prayers being said at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Fr. John Dakes officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Nestlebush, Jr., Charles Nestlebush, Kelly Pierce, Robert "Rocky" Blythe, William Steinbauer, and Merril "Chico" Rivers, and Tyler Steinbauer. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary's, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650 or any charity of choice. Arrangements provided by Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
