Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 2, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Holy Face Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Sileo officating. Interment will follow in the Holy Face Cemetery. Visitation: The family will recieve friends Sunday, October 1, 2006 from 2:00-5:00PM with prayers being said at 3:00PM in Holy Face Catholic Church. Michael Alan Knott, 57, of Callaway, MD died September 25, 2006 in the Veteran's Hospital, Washington, DC. Born July 18, 1949 in Leonardtown, MD he was the son of Hazel Theresa Knott and the late Joseph Irving Knott. He is survived by his children: Brian Allen Knott and Christopher Dale Knott; grandchildren: Caitlynn Rain Knott and Sierra Sky Knott; siblings: Joan Adams of Valley Lee, MD, Joseph "Bubby" Knott of Great Mills, MD, Anne Lumpkins of Piney Point, MD, Mary Rita Archer, Susan Wise, Mark Knott, and Julie Reese all of Callaway, MD; 10 nieces, 3 nephews, 3 great nieces and 9 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother: Joseph I. Knott, Jr. Mr. Knott served in the U.S. Army from July 14, 1970 â?? September 22, 1970 before joining the Merchant Marines where he served 2 consecutive tours in Vietnam. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 1, 2006 from 2:00-5:00 PM in Holy Face Catholic Church, Great Mills, MD where Prayers are being said at 3:00PM.
