Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 28297 Old Village Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659, with Fr. Peter Alliata officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, 41590 Fenwick Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650 with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM. Lawrence Edward Buckler, 61, of Wicomico Shores, died October 20, 2006 at his home. He was born June 11, 1945 in Aquasco, MD to the late Edward Louis and Lenora Cecilia Buckler. He was the loving husband of Faye Anderson Buckler for 21 years and the devoted father of Jacqueline Lyon of PA, Shelly Broderick of Laplata, MD and Lawrence Buckler, Jr. of Chaptico,MD , all from a previous marriage, as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear sister Dot Morgan of Mechanicsville, MD and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Louis and Carroll Buckler. Mr. Buckler was a lifelong St. Mary's County resident and graduate of Margaret Brent High School, Class of 1963. He belonged to Local Union 400 Meat Cutters Union for 20 years and was a member of Local Union 33 Bakery & Sales Driver for Wonder Bread upon his illness. Lawrence was well known for his sports abilities. Before becoming manager of Hill's Club Softball Team, he played for many softball teams in St. Mary's and Charles Counties. He enjoyed many years of playing baseball/softball. He took pride in working in his yard and also playing golf so often with his son and friends. The family will receive friends in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A. on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from 5 â?? 8 PM with prayers being said at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Alliata officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jennings Anderson, Bert Anderson, Chuck Anderson, Jimmy Lawrence, Gary Gray and Vernon Saunders. Honorary Pallbearers will be George (Bubba) Morgan, Al Gatton, Billy Goddard, George Buckler and Oscar Buckler. Contributions may be made to the Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 15, Mechanicsville, MD 20659 the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 37, Mechanicsville, MD 20659 and/or Hospice of St. Mary's, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650.

  13. well dad its april 2 and by now we should have had a few hundred softball practices by now busy weeks and weekends full of softball tournaments but as you know with this virus going around the world has gone crazy again continue to guild me and the girls with greatness hoping this all ends soon to get back to normal lifes again thinking of you as always love boo lisa savannah Jocelyn keep my girls healthy and safe on and off the fields
