Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 3 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Keith Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: A Public Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM Mary Rose "Rosie" Thompson, 65, of Leonardtown, MD died April 29, 2005 in St. Mary's Nursing Center. Born April 26, 1940 in Loveville, MD, she was the daughter of Joseph Gervise and Mary Agnes Nelson Thompson. She is survived by her siblings: Lucille Wood of Mechanicsville, MD; Dolly Latham of Chaptico, MD; Leonard Thompson of Loveville, MD; and, J. G. Thompson of Lexington Park, MD. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Albert Thompson, Mary Alice Thompson, Alice Marie Thompson and June Thompson. Miss Thompson was a life-long St. Mary's County resident and her past times included sewing and crocheting doll clothes, attending Programs for the Handicapped and playing Bingo. The family received friends May 2, 2005 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home in Leonardtown. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 3, 2005 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Morganza with Father Keith Woods officiating. Interment followed in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lenny Thompson, Jimmy Latham, Jr., Kenny Thompson, David Thompson, Ricky Wood and Ronnie Guy. Contributions may be made to St. Mary's Nursing Home Foundation, P. O.
