Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the Holy Angels Catholic Church, 21335 Coltons Point Rd.,Avenue, MD 20609 with Msgr. John Brady officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation: Viewing and Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2005 from 9AM till 10AM in the Funeral Home Chapel John Francis "Tit" Carter, 80, of Avenue, MD died on April 20, 2005 in University of Maryland Hospital. Born July 16, 1924 in Bushwood, MD, he was the son of the late Bertha Yorkshire and James I. Carter. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy I. Armstrong whom he married on June 9, 1946 in Bushwood, MD. He is survived by his sisters: Susie C. Day of Baltimore, MD and Mildred T. Mason of Lexington Park, MD. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Marie A. Jones, Mary E. Maddox, Louise Davis, Martha Herbert, George M. Carter, James I. Carter and step-brother: Ignatius Thomas Carter. Mr. Carter was a life long St. Mary's County resident where he worked as a landscaper for Dr. Eugene Guazzo. He loved entertaining family and friends by playing the guitar. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27 from 9:00 â?? 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home.
