John Fisher Esh

Services: Services will be held at his home on Tuesday, August 17, 2004. Times have not been confirmed at this time. John Fisher Esh, Jr., 60, died on August 14, 2004 in George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. He was born on February 23, 1944 to John F. Esh, Sr. and Susie S. Fisher Esh in Lancaster, PA. He was the loving husband of Edith Marie Yoder Esh whom he married on November 24, 1964 in Mechanicsville, MD and the devoted father of Elizabeth Ann, Simeon D., Daniel B., Moses, Reuben, and Benuel Esh and Salome A. Hertzler all of Mechanicsville, MD, Katie B. Swarey, Susan A. Swarey, and Edith Stoltzfus all of Charlotte Hall, MD and Solomon L. Esh of Charlotte CH,VA and the grandfather of 46 grandchildren. Mr. Esh is also survived by his brothers Issac F. Esh of Franklin County, PA, Benuel F. Esh of Peach Bottom, Simeon Esh of Lancaster, PA, and Amos Esh of Wisconsin and his sisters, Mary and Elizabeth of Mechanicsville, MD, Emma of Charlotte CH, VA, and Susie of Lancaster County, PA. He was preceded in death by a son, Samuel J. Esh. Mr. Esh moved to St. Mary's County in 1950 from Lancaster County, PA. He was a retired Dairy Farmer and still worked in his shop. The family received visitors at their home on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 and interment was at the Hertzler Cemetery in Mechanicsville, MD. Pallbearers for Mr. Esh were Solly Esh, Ben Yoder, John King, Stevie Yoder, John Esh and John Y. Esh.
