Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 10:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD with Msgr. John Brady officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Visitation: Public Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 from 4 - 8 PM, with prayers being held at 7:00 PM, rescue squad prayers will be held at 7:15 PM Robert "Wayne" Huntington, 45, of Bushwood, MD died June 12, 2004 in St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. He was born on January 16, 1959 in Leonardtown, MD and was the son of Robert S. Huntington and Shirley Gragan Huntington of Mechanicsville, MD. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lynn Arnold, whom he married on March 17, 1990 in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD. He is also survived by a brother, Glen Dale Huntington, of Frederick, MD. Wayne was a lifelong resident of St. Mary's County and a graduate of Chopticon High School Class of 1977. He was employed for 15 years with the St. Mary's County Public Works Department until his retirement on October 31, 2003. He was an active member of the Seventh District Volunteer Rescue Squad and was formerly a member of the Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad. He loved Country and Bluegrass music and played the guitar. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 10:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD with Msgr. John B. Brady officiating and Deacon George L'heureux co-officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers for Mr. Huntington will be Aaron Fenwick, Bobby Tessier, Billy Wood, Ryan Huntington, Dale Huntington, and Jerry Guy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Taylor Huntington, Olivia Huntington, Amy Fenwick and Members of the Seventh District Volunteer Rescue Squad.
