Visitation: Friday, January 21, 2005 - 10:00 AM Betty Mae Robrecht, 80, of Tall Timbers, MD died January 17, 2005. Born June 15, 1924 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Alice Eagan and Clarence T. Melvin. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Neal Robrecht whom she married in Forestville, MD on September 1, 1948. Mrs. Robrecht is survived by her children, Carol A. Ridgell of California, MD, James N. Robrecht,Jr. of Leonardtown, MD, Joyce M. Baker of St. Leonard, MD, David B. Robrecht of Washington, DC, William J. Robrecht of Tall Timbers, MD and Tamara L. Robrecht of Lexington Park, MD as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Lloyd W. Melvin of Millville, DE and Clarence T. Melvin of Callaway, MD. Mrs. Robrecht moved to St. Mary's County in 1941 from Baltimore, MD. She was employed at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD as the Personal Property Branch Supervisor until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of N.A.R.F.E. St. Mary's Chapter 969, the Potomac River Association, and St. Mary's County Taxpayers Association. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 21, 2005 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stephen Updegrave officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, St. George's Island, MD. Pallbearers will be James N. Robrecht, Jr., Travis S. Ridgell, John A. Bowes and Ronald L. Ridgell.
