Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 14 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady's Church in Medley's Neck with Father John Barry officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: Public Viewing will be held on Sunday, February 13 from 2 - 5 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with prayers being said at 3 PM. Joseph Ernest "Joe" Knott, 53, of Leonardtown, MD died February 9, 2005 in Georgetown University Hospital. Born December 1, 1951 in Leonardtown, MD was the son of Lillian Cecelia Knott of Leonardtown, MD and the late John Webster Knott, Sr. He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Peggy A. Abell of Hollywood, MD, Mary Lillian Clements, John W. Knott, Jr., James L. Knott, Emma C. Knott and Charles D. Knott all of Leonardtown, MD. Mr. Knott was a life long St. Mary's County resident where he worked as a farmer. He was graduate of Chopticon High School, Class of 1971. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo, the lottery and gardening. The family will receive friends of Sunday, February 13 from 2 â?? 5 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with prayers being said at 3 PM. Knott, Jr., Ray Knott, III and Charles Ball. Contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 41780 Baldridge Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
