Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 23 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 AM with Father Francis Early officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 22 in the funeral home from 5 - 8 PM with prayers being said at 7 PM. Mary Agnes "Cousin Agnes â?? Ga Ma" Parker, 92, of Maddox, MD died March 18, 2005 at Bayside Care Center. Born September 23, 1912 in Bushwood, MD she was the daughter of the late Julia Frances and Walter H. Herbert. She is survived by her son James H. Herbert, Sr. of Lexington Park, MD; sister: Sarah Roberts of Washington, DC; grandchildren: James Herbert, Jr., Rebecca Herbert, Mary Herbert, Julia Herbert, Harry Herbert and Barbara Courtney, 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved companion Harry M. Jones; sister: Lillian Brown, brother: Harry Herbert, grandson: Dennis A. "Butch" Herbert and daughter in-law: Hilda E. "Sug" Herbert. Ms. Parker was a life long St. Mary's County resident where she attended Milestowe High School and worked as a Domestic Engineer. The family received friends on Tuesday, March 22 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 23 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Francis Early officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be James A. Butler, Sr., William N. Butler, James Roberts, Pierre A. Butler, John N. Maddox, Jr. and Thomas Courtney. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Harris, Frankie Wheeler, Rodney Maddox, Pernell Roberts, Joseph Herbert and Thomas Roberts. Arrangements provided by Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
