Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 7 in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD at 12 Noon with Father Rory Conley officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Public Visitation will be on Sunday, March 6 in the funeral home from 2:00 - 5:00 PM with prayers being said at 3:00 PM. Rosalie Marie Klear Graves, 94, of Leonardtown, MD died February 28, 2005 in Washington Hospital Center. Born February 3, 1911 in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of the late George and Theresa Zenz Klear. She was the wife of the late James Bernard Graves, Sr. whom she married in Leonardtown on December 29, 1929 and who preceded her in death on October 17, 1991. She is survived by her children, Marie Freeman and James B. Graves, Jr. of Leonardtown, MD, Theresa Graves of Baltimore, MD and Mary Vallandingham of Clements, MD. Mrs. Graves is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, George Gilbert Klear, Jr., Leo Peter Klear and Peter Rudolphus Klear. She attended Bryan's High School and Bryan's College and resided in Anne Arundel County after her marriage and then relocated back to Leonardtown, MD in 2004. Mrs. Graves was an accomplished artist and loved oil painting, quilting, sewing and gardening. The family will receive friends from 2:00 â?? 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 6th in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where Prayers will be said at 3:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 7th at 12:00 Noon in St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Father Rory Conley officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held at Breton Bay Country Club for family and friends after the services. Pallbearers for Mrs. Graves will be John Hilderbrand, Stephen Arnold, Jr., William Vallandingham, Gregory Arnold, Richard Arnold and Joseph Vallandingham, Jr. Honorary pallbearer s will be Stephen Arnold, Sr., Mark Allshouse, Leo Klear, Jr., Patrick Russell, Christopher Russell and Samuel Menefee.
