Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in St. George's Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Ervin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: Public visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday, April 11, 2005 from 5 - 8 PM with prayers being said at 7:00 PM. Elizabeth "Anna Dell" Mattingly, 92, of Valley Lee, MD died April 6, 2005 in Leonardtown, MD. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jeanette Bailey Russell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aloysius DeSales Mattingly whom she married on January 14, 1939. Mrs. Mattingly was also preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph Russell, Jennings Russell, Bailey Russell, Madeline Bradburn, Jeanette Raley, Louise Thompson and Sister Mary Ethelreda of the Sisters of St. Joseph. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mattingly was a life-long St. Mary's County resident and attended Great Mills High School. She was employed as a Clerk at Mattingly's IGA Store and was a member of St. George's Catholic Church, Second District Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Bayside Senior Citizens and the Catholic Daughters. The family received friends in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home on April 11, 2005 and a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on April 12, 2005 in St. George's Catholic Church, Valley Lee, MD with Father Mark Ervin officiating. Interment followed in St. George's Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Mattingly were Puggy Russell, Charles Raley, Joe Raley, Johnny Thompson, George Thompson and Billy Thompson.
