Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Dobson officiating. Interment will follow in Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. Visitation: Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. Allen Bert Ching, 82, of Leonardtown, MD formerly of Charles County died October 9, 2005 in Leonardtown, MD. Born August 30, 1923 in Wicomico, MD he was the son of the late Thomas and Pearl E. Parks Ching. He is survived by his children: Robert Ching and his wife Diane of Waldorf, MD, Richard Ching of Naples, FL and Tammy Jeter and her husband Harry of Lexington Park, MD; sister: Evelyn L. Gabriel of FL; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in by his brothers and sister: George T. Ching, R. Nelson Ching, Robert Lee Ching and Clara Bridgett. Mr. Ching attended Glasva High School. He moved to St. Mary's County from Charles County in 1975. He worked as a builder/carpenter. He also served in the U.S. Army for 6 years from November 10, 1948 until June 25, 1954. His hobby was fishing. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 10:00 â?? 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev.
