A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 11 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel, 41590 Fenwick Street, Leonardtown, MD with Interment to follow at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Visitation:
Viewing and Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2005 from 9:30 AM to 11 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel.
Elizabeth Adell "Sis" Cooper, 71, of California, MD formerly of Charlottesville, VA died October 14, 2005 in California, MD. Born April 30, 1934 in Charlottesville, VA she was the daughter of the late Lacey Elwood and Virgie Mary McCauley Bellew. She was the loving wife of Robert Wesley Cooper whom she married on May 9, 1953 in Charlottesville, VA. She is survived by her children: Barbara Demko of Ridge, MD and Beth Joseph of Hollywood, MD; brothers: Lacey Bellew, Jr. of Charlottesville, VA, Pete Bellew of Troy, VA and sister: Rose Mae Sahnow of California, MD and grandchildren: Jon Wesley Demko of Ridge, MD Joe Joe Joseph and Carlee Joseph both of Hollywood, MD. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 from 9:30 â?? 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM with Associate Pastor Allen Acker of Leonardtown Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Lexington Park, MD. Pallbearers will be son in-laws: Joseph Joseph and Bobby Demko; grandson: Wesley Demko; nephew: Kenny Bellew and neighbors: Sonny Musgrove and Mike Byers. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary's County, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650 and/or Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 79, Hollywood, MD 20636.
