Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Joy Chapel Cemetery. Visitation: Viewing & Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM and the VFW Service will be held at 7:15 PM. Walter Tolodziecki, 84, of Hollywood, MD formerly of Baltimore, MD died December 4, 2005 in Hollywood, MD. Born May 19, 1921 in Lowell, Massachusetts he was the son of the late John and Ester Tolodziecki. He was the loving husband of Doris May Tolodziecki whom he married in Leonardtown, MD. He is survived by his children: Fred Tolodziecki of Laurel, MD and Carol Tolodziecki of Hollywood, MD; sister: Mary Carpenter of Baltimore, MD; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Loraine Holt, Calvert Tolodzecki, John Tolodziecki, Frank Tolodziecki, George and Maurice. Mr. Tolodziecki moved to St. Mary's County in 1945 from Baltimore, MD. He worked as a Forman of Heavy Duty Equipment for Patuxent River Naval Air Station for 38 years. He also served in the U.S. Army for 4 years from February 14, 1943 until February 7, 1947 where he received the following honors: Purple Heart Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon and Combat Infantry Badge. He also battled in Buldge, Ardeness, Rhine Land and Central Europe. He was a member of the VFW Post in California, MD and his hobbies were woodworking and camping. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM followed by a VFW Service at 7:15 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Joy Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mickey Neill, Kenny Hill, Alan Carpenter, Charles Neill, Donald Hill and Frederick Tolodziecki.
