Leroy Joseph Stockero, Sr. 58, of Lexington Park, MD and formerly of Albuquerque, NM died December 12, 2005 in St. Mary's Hospital. Born September 1, 1947 in Menominee, MI, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edith Hahn Stockero. He was the loving husband of Marianne Vessells Stockero whom he married on November 30, 1973, in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his children Rick Modisette of Gilbert, AZ, Carol L. Stockero-Marrujo of Minot, ND and Leroy J. Stockero, Jr. of Sandusky, OH; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Stockero was a graduate of Menominee Mills High School, Class of 1965. He moved to the county in 1986 from Albuquerque, NM where he worked as an Information Tech Manager for 7 years for IAP World Services at NAS Patuxent River. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years from October 1967 until October 1970. During his military career he was stationed in the Mountain Home AFB, MT; Kirtland AFB, NM and he served in Vietnam. During his military career he received a Commendation Medal. He enjoyed ancestory, fishing, boating, computers, playing the organ/keyboard and the accordion and he was President of the Homeowners Association. The Family will receive friends on Friday, December 16, 2005 from 5:00 â?? 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. Interment will take place on December 21, 2005 at 1:00 PM in The City of Mesa Cemetery, Mesa City, AZ. Arrangements provided the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
