Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 1:00 PM in Spirit of Excellence Christian Ministries, 8440 Leonardtown Road, Hughesville, MD with Rev. Dr. Charles Williams officiating. Thomas Rudolph Jerdon, 77, of California, MD died December 18, 2005 in St. Mary's Hospital. Born June 28, 1928 in California, MD he was the son of the late Thomas William Jordan and Mary Florence Hill. He was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Bernice Bennett on December 17, 1994 in Leonardtown, MD. He is survived by his children: Sue Price of Burbank, CA, Brian Jerdon of Mechanicsville, MD, Thomas Jerdon, Agnes Jerdon, Jesse Jerdon and Deborah Jerdon all of California, MD; brother: James Jordan of Baltimore, MD and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children: James Jerdon and Mary Jerdon; brothers: Joseph Jordon and Paul Smith and sister: Frances Smith. Mr. Jerdon was a life long St. Mary's County resident where he attended Cardinal Gibbons High School. He worked as a construction worker until his retirement in 1992. He also served in the U.S. Army for 2 years from March 20, 1951 â?? February 20, 1953 in France as a Corporal Rank. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and crabbing. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 1:00 PM in Spirit of Excellence Christian Ministries, 8440 Leonardtown Rd., Hughesville, MD 20637 with Rev. Dr. Charles Williams officiating. Interment will be Private. Arrangements provided by the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
