Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM in St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 22550 Point Lookout Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Frank Carl Bonnevier, 78, of Leonardtown, MD formerly of York, PA died January 16, 2006 in Leonardtown, MD. Born August 8, 1927 in Buffalo, NY he was the son of Frank Folke and Alma Linnea Carlson Bonnevier. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Sarah Rutherford Bonnevier on February 23, 1999 in York, PA whom he married on May 3, 1952 in Buffalo, NY. He is survived by his sons: Frank Bonnevier of Windsor, PA, Bruce Bonnevier and his wife Peggy of Boston, MA and Kirk Bonnevier and his wife Terry of Leonardtown, MD; sisters: Viola Tongring of Festus, MO and Marion Downes of Asheville, NC and 5 grandchildren. Mr. Bonnevier graduated from Kenmore High School in Buffalo, NY Class of 1945, University of Buffalo in Buffalo, NY Class of 1951 with a Bachelor of Science of Industrial Engineering Degree, University of Buffalo in Buffalo, NY Class of 1956 with a Bachelor of Science of Mechanical Engineering Degree, Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH Class of 1965 with a Master's of Business Administration Degree and also Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA Class of 1974 with a Data Processing Technology Certificate. He moved to St. Mary's County in September 2003 from York, PA. He worked as a manager of manufacturing engineering for Voith Hydro Inc., in York, PA for 16 years until his retirement in May 1990. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years from 1945 â?? 1947 where he served in Europe following WWII. Frank was a licensed professional engineer. He was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and former president of the Lincoln Chapter in Pennsylvania. He was a member and past president of the York and Niagara Frontier Chapters of the Institute of Industrial Engineers. He enjoyed reading, playing the piano, surf fishing and golf.
