A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Christ Episcopal Church with Fr. Jessee Neat officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation:
Viewing/Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM
Catherine Frances Oliver, 87 of Budds Creek, MD died May 5, 2006 at her home. Born April 22, 1919 in Spray NC she was daughter of the late Clyde F. Jones and Euna Graham Dent. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis Lee Oliver on November 30, 1988 whom she married on May 7, 1936. She is survived by her children: Ellen Bartz of Mechanicsville, MD, Thomas L. "Tom" Oliver and Michael W. "Pee Wee" Oliver both of Budds Creek, MD; siblings: Georgia Lemons and Hoyle Dent both of Greensboro, NC; sister in-law: Ann Dent of Long Island, NY; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her brothers: Calvin Dent, Thomas Dent and Edwin Dent. Ms. Oliver attended Glasva High School and was a farmers wife. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, flowers and bird watching. The family will receive friends of Wednesday, May 10, 2006 from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM. Dale Skurla of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, New Market co-officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel L. Oliver, Shawn C. Oliver, James L. Bartz, Jr., Henry A. Oliver, N. Arnold Ching and Andrew J. Bartz. Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area Chapter, 513 E. Charles Street, P.O.
