Services:
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 1:00 PM in All Saints Episcopal Church, Oakley, MD with Rev. Kathleen Price officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation:
Viewing/Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM
Heaven has been blessed with a special angel and her name is Virginia Temple Holden. She joined her Heavenly Father on April 24, 2006, from her home in Avenue, Maryland. She touched the lives of so many people in her faith filled 69 years here on earth. Temple shared 52 years of love and admiration with her husband Louis, with whom she lived, in Avenue, Maryland. She was wholly devoted to her family: son James Holden of Waldorf; daughter Elizabeth and Frank Wicker, Grandchildren Shane and Sarah Cameron of Avenue; daughter Rachel and Robert Toney, Grandchildren Paul and Jesse Toney of Chaptico; Nephew Archie and Margo Holden of Frederick; Honorary Daughter and Granddaughter Saundra and Mikayla Desarno of Coltons Point; Sister Patricia and Thomas Colona of Asheboro, NC; Niece Malynda and Paul Schumaker and Great Niece and Nephew Matthew and Deanna Shumaker of Asheboro, NC. Temple will always be remembered for her love of family, Elvis, teddy bears, genealogy and playing cards. She was dedicated to serving God and All Saints Episcopal Church. She enjoyed spending time with her friends in the "dancing girls" crafts club of Coltons Point. The family wishes to thank the entire community for all the love and support they have received throughout Temple's illness, recognizing: The 7th District Rescue Squad, Don Cather and Bernice Arnold; All Saints' Episcopal Church, The Reverend Kathie Price, Holy Angels Church, Father John Barry and Monsignor Brady, The American Legion, Avenue, and the D.A.V. God Bless you all. Visitations will be held at Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM with Prayers officiated by the Rev. Kathleen V. Price at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 1:00 PM in All Saints Episcopal Church, Oakley Parish, Avenue, Maryland officiated by The Rev. Kathleen V. Price. Pallbearers will be Bobby Holden, Shane Cameron, Paul Schumaker, Danny Holden, Archie Holden and Paul Toney. Honorary Pallbearer will be James Holden.
