Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Leonardtown Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Philips officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2006 with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM Sherry Lee Gass, 37, of Leonardtown, MD formerly of Scotia, NY died May 16, 2006 in Leonardtown, MD. Born May 15, 1969 in Port Chester, NY she was the daughter of Eugene Samuel Falco of Middleburgh, NY, Suzanne Marie Garahan and step daughter of Joe Garahan both of Scotia, NY. She was the loving wife of Dean Patrick Gass whom she married on July 1, 1989 in Leonardtown Baptist Church, Leonardtown, MD. She was the devoted mother of: Timothy Charles Gass and Jessica Michelle Gass both of Leonardtown, MD. She is survived by brother: Stephen Garahan of Glenville, NY and sisters: Regina Falco of Clifton Park, NY and Brea-Anne Paige of Schenectady, NY. Mrs. Gass graduated from Burnt Hills High School, Class of 1987 and University of Phoenix, Class of 2005 with a degree in management/business. She moved to St. Mary's County in 1989 where she worked for Wyle Laboratories as an analyst for 5 years until her retirement in 2005. She also served in the U.S. Air Force for 2 years from December 1987 until January 1990. Her duty stations were: Lackland, TX, Keesler, MS and Dover, DE. She was a member of Leonardtown Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, computers, math, art, christian music and woodworking. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 18, 2006 from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM. Pallbearers will be: Leonard Lent, Steven Gass, Sr., Joseph Gass, Jr., Christopher Paige, Stephen J. Garahan, IV and Lowell Thomas. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary's, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650 and/or Leonardtown Baptist Church, P.O. Box 450, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
