Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Keith Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM John Aloysius Wathen, 70, of Huntingtown, MD died May 21, 2006 in Huntingtown, MD. Born July 30, 1935 in Oraville, MD he was the son of the late John Briscoe and Addy M. Burch Wathen. He was the husband of Catherine P. Wathen whom he married on October 11, 1953 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Morganza, MD. He is survived by his children: Pauline Wathen and Carroll Wathen both on Huntingtown, MD, Maurice Wathen, Roger Wathen, Johnson Wathen, Elvis Wathen and Dale Wathen all of Leonardtown, MD, Johnny Wathen of Lexington Park, MD, Mark Wathen of Loveville, MD, Shelly Forbes of Hughesville, MD, Jackie Buckler of Charlotte Hall, MD, Ann Tuck and Angel Saunders both of Mechanicsville, MD; brother and sisters: Doris Harding of Newburg, MD, Joyce Wheeler of Hollywood, MD, Joseph Wathen of Leonardtown, MD, Robert Wathen of Huntingtown, MD, Madeline Morgan of Mechanicsville and Cecelia Howe of Prince Frederick, MD; 25 grandchildren, 10 great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Patsy Elaine Wathen; brothers and sisters: Delores Callana, Leonard Wathen, Waynard Wathen, Elwood Wathen, Roy Wathen, Thomas Wathen, Betsy Tippett, Johnson Wathen and Elizabeth Wathen. Mr. Wathen enjoyed playing cards and bingo. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM.
