A Mass of Christan Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 5, 2006 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Father Early officating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation:
Viewing & Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2006 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00PM with Prayers being said at 7:00PM.
Grace Helen Butler, 80, of Takoma Park, MD died July 29. 2006 in Washington Adventist Hospital. Born February 28, 1926 in Bushwood, MD she was the daughter of the late Walter Marshall and Grace Elizabeth Hawkins Bowman. She was the loving wife of the lateArthur Aloysius Butler whom she married on February 1, 1942. She is survived by her children Francis Aloysius and James Walter of Bushwood, MD, Arthur Jerome of Oxon Hill, MD, Clarence Joseph of Mechanicsville, MD, Ann Elizabeth of Washington, DC, Constance D. Willis of Woodbridge, VA and Grace Helen Jones of Lexington Park, MD. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings John Arthur, Walter Marshall, Jr., George Francis, Henry Baker, Elizabeth Wesley and Rosetta Thomas. The family will receive friends Friday, August 4, 2006 from 5:00- 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with prayers being said at 7:00.
