Services: A Mass of Christan Burial will be celebrated on Saturday,July 29, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bushwood,MD with Fr.Francis Early officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cementery. Visitation: Viewing and Visitation will be Friday, July 28, 2006 from 5:00-8:00PM in Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM. Alice Ann "Ann Gal" Butler, 59, of Bushwood, MD died July 23, 2006 in Georgetown University Hospital. Born December 31, 1946 in Bushwood, MD she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Scriber Herbert Miles. She was the loving wife of James Walter Butler, Sr. whom she married on June 21, 1969 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by her children Cynthia Butler of Capitol Heights, MD, James Butler, Jr. of Lusby, MD, Alecia Butler of Rocky Mount, NC, Barbara Reigle of Frederick, MD, and Charles Carter of Lexington Park, MD .She is also survived by seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Wendell Butler and her sister Mary Carter. She graduated from Banneker High School in 1965. She was a life long St. Mary's County resident where she worked for twelve years as a housekeeper for the Charlotte Hall Veteran's Home. She enjoyed spending time with family, Bingo, going to play slots, dancing, and she was a member of the Sacred Heart Ladies Auxiliary. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 PM with prayers being said at 7:00PM.
