“Richard, Mrs. Hunt, Mrs. Herberg, and family, we were so sorry to hear about Cathy’s death. She was such a wonderful person and we know you are going to miss her terribly. Just remember her life has changed, not ended and one day you will meet her again. May God’s love make your grief bearable. You are in our thoughts and prayers. “Semper Fi” Son and Elaine Wood”

“To the Huntt and Herberg families–please accept the condolences of myself and my family (Russell). Living in Hollywood and being involved with the HVFD, I remember Cathy, Linda, Diane, George and of course, your parents. (I am Amy’s daughter) Although just a little younger than the Huntt girls, all I can remember is how pretty they all were, how lady-like they were and how much I admired and looked up to them. I remember so well when Cathy was crowned “Miss Hollywood” (I think I was l0) I didn’t know the Herberg family well, but knew of them. But at times like this, we’re all neighbors and friends–all part of the “Hollywood” family. I wanted to send my condolences to let you know that even ones that you don’t know are thinking of you and praying for you, are doing just that. I pray that your faith holds you strong during this difficult time. God bless.”
“Mary Agnes, Diana, & Linda: Words are inadequate when it comes to offering my sympathy. She was such a beautiful woman along with your other daughters. I was chairperson when Diana got “Miss Hollywood Volunteer Fire Dept. Queen” and if my memory is right I believe that Mary Catherine was also a Queen for the Fire Dept. I am so sorry that Skip and I no longer live in Maryland, we live in Alabama, and will be unable to attend any of the services for her, you will all be in our prayers, May God bless each of you, along with Richard and her children. Doris & Skip Jones”
“Richard, Garrett and Daniele, our hearts are broken over the news of Catherine’s death. Catherine was a wonderful person and God has a special place in heaven for her.”
“To Richard and family and to the Huntt family – Please accept my sympathy on Cathy’s passing. Thinking of you all – Tism Thompson Blackwell”

“We were so sad to hear of Cathy’s passing. What a lovely girl and a beautiful soul. When Cathy & I went all through Jr. & High school I was Jan Proffitt. I did not hear about this until this morning (the morning of her funeral). God is smiling with this beautiful day. Our deepest sympathies, Jan & Chip Norris.”
“Catherine belonged to our Rosa Mystica prayer group in Waggaman,LA. She was a elegant lady, always upbeat, concerned about others and a devout Catholic. She sometimes translated form Spanish to English for our visionary. I am deeply saddened by her loss and so is our entire prayer group. She will be a tough act to follow. God Bless!”
“Dear family of Cathy, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. Cathy and I were friends in high school and shared many good times with friends at school and socially. M.C. was a bubbly person who always enjoyed life and I have many special memories of the class of 1965.”
