Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 10AM in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Ridge, MD with Fr. Maurice O'Connell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: A viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, October 29, 2007 from 5PM until 8PM with a prayer service being said at 7PM in St. Michael's Catholic Church,16567 Pt. Lookout Road, Ridge, MD 20680. Nancy Jane Thompson, 49, of Ridge, MD died October 25, 2007 at Washington Hospital Center. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother. Born on January 18th, 1958 in Leonardtown, MD. Nancy grew up and lived her life in Ridge, MD. Nancy was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy in Leonardtown, MD. Nancy worked for St. Mary’s County Parks and Recreation as a Park Attendant. Nancy was preceded in death by her father Thomas Clarence “Pete” Norris. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Charles Robert “Bob” Thompson, her loving parents Patricia Ann and John Bernard Cullison, three brothers and one sister, Thomas Randall Norris, and wife Theresa, Jerry Howard Norris, and wife Lynette, Brian Keith Norris and wife Kim, and Sharon Ann Purcell and husband Joe. Nancy is also survived by her children and grandchildren. Her son Robert Jason Thompson and wife Brandi, along with their two children Tyler and Kylee. Her daughter Jessica Lynn Thompson and her husband Troy, and their daughter Shelby. She is also survived by her two God daughters Jacqueline Norris and Jennifer Purcell. She is survived by eight nieces and four nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 29, 2007 from 5:00-8:00 PM in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ridge, MD where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 10:00 AM in St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Fr. Maurice O’Connell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Joe Purcell II, Joe Purcell III, J.C. Leavy, Josh Leavy, Troy W. Freeman Jr. and James Taylor Jr. Contributions may be made to Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 456, Ridge, MD 20680. Arrangements provided by the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
