Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Holy Face Catholic Church Great Mills, MD., with Fr. Thomas LaHood officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM in the funeral home chapel with prayers being recited at 7:00PM. Mary Magdalene Cullison, 91, of Valley Lee, MD died February 10, 2008 in St. Mary’s Nursing Center. Born January 13, 1917 in Ridge, MD she was the daughter of the late James Walter and Eulalia Anna Tennyson Wood. She was the loving wife of Paul Edward Cullison whom she married on April 3, 1934 in St. Michael’s Church and who preceded her in death in June 1978. She is survived by her children Joseph Richard Cullison and his wife Regina of St. George Island, MD, June Constance Cullison Diesel of Baltimore, MD, Mary Virginia Cullison Woods of Fairfax Station, VA and Clayton Edward Cullison and his wife Barbara of Valley Lee, MD as well as nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings; James Tennyson Wood, Mary Claudia Feeser, Elizabeth Capitala Raley, Catherine Juliet Timbs, John Bailey Wood, Joseph Blair Wood, Florence Cecelia Demko and Thomas Matthew Wood. She was also preceded in death by her very good friend Shirley “Boogie” Lozen. Mrs. Cullison was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County and graduate of St. Michael’s High School. She loved her family and friends. She loved playing bingo and volunteering at Senior Citizen Bingo with the Office of Aging Site at St. George Island and the Ladies of Charity Bingo at Holy Face Church. She also loved cats and leaves behind a favorite, Miss Fluffy. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Holy Face Catholic Church, Great Mills, MD with Fr. Thomas LaHood officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Cullison, Eddie Cullison, Jr., Kenn Woods, David Woods, Willian Woods and Blake Woods. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leonard Lozen, Vince Roach, Francis Cullison, Joseph Richard Cullison, Jr. and Jerry Diesel. Contributions may be made to the Holy Face Catholic Church, Ladies of Charity, P.O. Box 106, Great Mills,MD 20634. Arrangements provided by the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
