Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 10:00 AM in St. George Catholic Church, Valley Lee, MD with Msgr. Karl Chimiak officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in St. George Catholic Church, Valley Lee, MD where Prayers will be said at 7:30 PM. Vera Marie Saunders Dilworth, 71, of Valley Lee, MD died July 8, 2008 at her residence. Born June 11, 1937 in Leonardtown, MD she was the daughter of the late A. Vernon and E. Viola Saunders. She was the loving wife of Raymond G. Dilworth whom she married on October 26, 1957 in Holy Face Catholic Church. She is also survived by her children Chris Nave and her husband Lyndon of Cheltenham, MD, Liz Walter and her husband Bruce of Valley Lee, MD, Kay Adley and her husband Scott of Atsugi, Japan and David Dilworth of Piney Point, MD as well as her brother Vernon Saunders of Leonardtown, MD and her sister Mary Ann Cullison Rymer of California, MD and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Raymond “Speedy” Dilworth Jr. A lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, Vera graduated from St. Michael’s High School in Ridge, MD “Class of 1955”. She was a homemaker who enjoyed family gatherings and caring for others. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 10, 2008 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in St. George Catholic Church, Valley Lee, MD where prayers will be said at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 10:00 AM in St. George Catholic Church with Msgr. Karl Chimiak officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lyndon Nave, Bruce Walter, Scott Adley, Dave Dilworth, Mike Copenhaver and John Langley. Honorary pallbearers will be Karli Nave, Elayna Nave, Kayla Walter, Ryan Walter, Dylan Walter, Sean Adley, Michael Adley, Zack Hall and Jenna Hall.
